COMING SOON to the CABLE ROD & GUN CLUB
Are you interested in becoming a better shooter?
Would you like to know more about practical shooting techniques?
Have you ever wanted to try your hand at FRIENDLY competitive shooting?
The Cable Rod & Gun Club will be hosting NRL22 rifle shoots starting in May. This is a family friendly, fun form of shooting that uses 22LR rifles. Any .22LR rifle will work but it helps to have an adjustable scope and a detachable magazine. If you don’t have a rifle, we will have several available to borrow.
Matches will typically be held the 2nd Saturday of each month starting in May. Sight in and a safety briefing will take place prior to the match start at 10:00 AM. Shooting consists of 5 official stages and 2 bonus stages. Stages are typically 10 rounds each on a 2-minute timer. You will shoot from a variety of barricades, props and positions at reactive steel targets from 25 to 100 yards.
On-site instruction will be available. New adult and youth shooters are encouraged to attend! All shooters are welcome and NRL22 members will earn qualification points and entry into the monthly prize drawings.
Pre-registration is encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome. We will limit the number of shooters to 21.
A full schedule and more information will be posted on the website and FaceBook page shortly. If you have any questions, please call or e-mail match director Mitch Tromberg at (715) 431-0169 or addicted_2_archery@yahoo.com.
